In the Quintet Benefice we pray for our parishioners, especially those who are suffering with their health; and the recently bereaved. For the Wild Church initiative, for our church buildings that funds may be found for their urgent repair and especially for the people who live and work in The Meadows (Gresham), The Springles and Top Common (East Runton), The Street and Tower Road (Aylmerton).
Lord God, defend your Church from all false teaching and give to your people knowledge of your truth, that we may enjoy eternal life in Jesus Christ our Lord.
Thursday 29 September
Today we pray for:
Peace in our world and unity of nations to fight climate change and save the habitats of plants, living creatures and for our future generations. We pray especially for the people of Somalia suffering famine and drought, the people of Pakistan suffering flooding and for the people of Afghanistan and Syria. Remembering too, all those who have lost loved ones and whose lives have been affected by the war in the Ukraine.
In our community we pray for all who are struggling financially, suffering the effects of the drought, for those who serve in our emergency services and the NHS. As the new school year begins, we send our prayers to all children who are starting or returning to school, for students going to university and, especially, for those students who did not get the exam results they needed and now face new choices about their future.
In the Diocese of Norwich Somerleyton: Ashby, Blundeston, Fritton, Herringfleet, Lound, Somerleyton. The Churchwardens and PCC during the vacancy. Blundeston Primary.
In the Quintet Benefice we pray for our parishioners, especially those who are suffering with their health; and the recently bereaved. For the Wild Church initiative, for our church buildings that funds may be found for their urgent repair and especially for the people who live and work in Victoria Terrace and Wyndham Park (East Runton), Water Lane (West Runton), Watermill Close (Gresham).
